This website is designed to keep residents in Amenia, the Webutuck Central School District, and the surrounding communities apprised of the project as it goes forward and through its build-out phases over the coming years.
Nestled in the Hudson River Valley, the planned Silo Ridge Resort is an environmentally-friendly residential community and resort. The all-season resort, featuring a 300-room hotel and located at the foothills of the Berkshire Mountains in Amenia, NY, is a place where residents and guests can enjoy golf, equestrian activities, hunting, hiking, biking, fishing, cross-county skiing, antiquing, fine dining and more. Under the combined leadership of world-renowned architect, Robert A.M. Stern; world champion golfer and world-class golf course designer, Ernie Els; Audubon International, a leader in LEED projects around the world, and the prestigious luxury hospitality organization representing more than 450 of the world's finest hotels, The Leading Hotels of the World, the Silo Ridge Resort is positioned to become a world class destination in the Northeast.
The planning and review process commenced in 2003 and after extensive review internally and by town consultants, the Town of Amenia Planning Board, members of New York State agencies, Dutchess County agencies, local agencies and the public, the SEQR process is now complete.
Now, with completion of the State Environmental Quality Review (SEQR) process, Silo Ridge Resort is looking forward to obtaining Master Development and Site Plan approvals in order to break ground in 2010 and to open phase one in 2012.
